Born from the magicalness I feel from my own life, this painting unfolds a scene from a warm summer afternoon: a mid-day journal session under the sun, concluded by a nap induced by the tranquil sounds of a lapping stream. Magic napping pads, mushroom caps, accommodate weary fairies amid their tiresome journey into the dense forest. Whilst a glowing lilac stream flows by, moving through rainbow falls from one pool to the next, beaming with beauty and magic.
Printed so that every detail may be experienced in its fullness, this 28" x 20" framed canvas is at a 1:1 scale to the artwork at the time of painting, all 50,348 strokes made in just over 20 hours.
