Watching The Watch (2025) By Meadow Majesty
I let my "what if"s come to life in this painting. Originally I was inspired by a black lamppost holding up a spherical glass ball that housed a lightbulb. "What if that lamppost was a staff? And what if atop that staff was a bubble that housed a woman?"
The story behind this painting revealed itself to me as I came near the end of the sketch.
A woman from the chosen bloodline fulfills her duties to the Bubble Queendom. Pulled from her daily life, she must observe, she must train, she must learn. Neither upset nor
joyous, she finds contentment in the little things: watching the sun set onto the horizon.
Reproduced magically as a 19" x 28.6" print on velvety 24" x 36" matte paper, this poster is sized down slightly from the true size of the artwork, and brings a pastel, airy punch to any environment.
